Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Drupal Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week). Our client is an online training provider.

• Proven experience with Drupal 9/10/11 (or readiness to transition to 11).
• Strong knowledge of PHP, Twig, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Drupal core/contrib upgrades and major version migrations.
• Understanding and experience with the Migrate API, Feeds, or other migration tools.
• Understanding of Drupal theming, custom module development, and site building.
• Knowledge of Composer, Drush, Git.
• Experience with frameworks or libraries such as jQuery, Bootstrap, etc.
• Strong knowledge of database management (MySQL).
• Understanding of working with legacy systems and migrating them to a modern CMS framework.
• Experience with Visual Studio Code.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.

• Experience migrating sites from platforms such as Joomla, WordPress, or other CMSs.
• Familiarity with Drupal 11 readiness check tools and deprecation reporting.
• Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and SEO best practices.
• Knowledge of Acquia Cloud, Pantheon, or other hosting platforms is an advantage.

• Participate in the migration of websites from non-Drupal platforms into Drupal.
• Plan and execute the upgrade of our Drupal stack from 9 to 10, and eventually to 11, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption.
• Design, develop, and maintain custom Drupal modules and themes to meet evolving business requirements.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers and other developers to ensure seamless integration and performance.
• Audit and refactor the existing codebase for compatibility, security, and performance in newer Drupal versions.
• Implement and follow best practices in configuration management, version control, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Jira for sprint planning and issue tracking.
• Use Git for version control, managing code in a collaborative environment with clear commit practices and pull request reviews.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and integration issues.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Ensure adherence to development of best practices, including secure coding, code reusability, and performance optimization.
