Employment Opportunity: Medical Appointment Scheduler
**Position:** Medical Appointment Scheduler
**Hours:** Full-Time
**Start Date:** Immediate
**Job Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Appointment Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently scheduling patient appointments, handling prior authorizations, and managing referrals. A strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance company protocols is essential. Experience in the orthopedic field, as well as familiarity with Eclinical EHR and Nextiva phone systems, is highly desirable.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Schedule patient appointments efficiently and accurately
- Handle prior authorizations and referrals
- Communicate with various insurance companies to verify patient coverage
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, ensuring a positive experience
- Utilize Eclinical EHR for patient record management
- Operate the Nextiva phone system for all patient and internal communications
- Manage multiple phone lines effectively
- Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
**Qualifications:**
- Experience in medical appointment scheduling
- Knowledge of various insurance companies and their protocols
- Familiarity with prior authorizations and referrals
- Understanding of medical terminology
- Strong customer service skills
- Positive attitude and ability to handle multiple phone lines
- Ability to speak Spanish fluently is preferred
- Experience in the orthopedic field is a plus
- Proficiency with Eclinical EHR and Nextiva phone system is a plus
