Your Mission

To act as the "Force Multiplier" for the engineering team. You will own the architecture of the Headless CMS (Nexus/Directus) and build the "Glue Code" and AI agents that automate the mundane aspects of development, testing, and documentation. Your goal is to ensure that the Core Engineering team never wastes time on manual data entry, schema synchronization, or basic code reviews.

Role Overview

We are seeking a hybrid engineer who bridges the gap between System Administration, DevOps, and Product Engineering. You are not building the client-facing website; you are building the machine that builds the website. You will be the master of Directus (or similar Headless CMS), responsible for maintaining the integrity of the content schema. Simultaneously, you will build internal AI Agents—such as automated Pull Request reviewers and documentation generators—that enforce our coding standards and accelerate our velocity.

Key Responsibilities

• Headless CMS Governance: Own the "Source of Truth" (Nexus CMS/Directus). You are responsible for designing flexible data models, configuring permissions, and ensuring that the content schema maps perfectly to the Frontend Block Builder system.
• Internal Tool Construction: Build custom dashboards, CLI tools, or automated workflows (using n8n, Make, or Node.js) that allow non-technical team members to perform complex tasks without bothering the Backend team.
• The "Sentinel" AI Agent: Architect and maintain an internal AI agent that hooks into our GitHub pipeline. This agent will preliminary scan Pull Requests to identify deviations from coding standards, flag optimization opportunities, and auto-generate changelogs before a human reviewer sees them.
• Schema-to-Type Automation: Create the pipelines that automatically generate TypeScript interfaces from the CMS schema, ensuring the Frontend team always has "Type Safety" without manual updates.
• DocumentationOps: Implement workflows where code commits and CMS updates automatically trigger AI updates to the internal "Knowledge Base," ensuring documentation never goes stale.

Required Stack

• Core: Directus (Expert Level - Extensions, Hooks, API), Node.js, Python.
• Automation: n8n, and flowise
• AI/LLM: OpenAI API / Anthropic API (for building internal agents), LangChain (basic knowledge).
• Infrastructure: Portainer and Docker (for local tool containerization).
• Code versioning: Git

Core Skills and Competencies

• Data Modeling: The ability to visualize complex relationships (One-to-Many, M2M) and implement them efficiently in a Headless CMS.
• "Glue" Engineering: Proficiency in connecting disparate APIs (e.g., Jira to Directus to Slack) to create seamless workflows.
• DX (Developer Experience): Empathy for the development team; the ability to identify bottlenecks in their workflow and script them away.
• Prompt Engineering for Code: The ability to write system prompts that instruct an AI to review code accurately without generating false positives.

Domain of Mastery

• Schema Management: Treating CMS configuration as code (migrations, snapshots) rather than manual clicking.
• Operational AI: Moving beyond "chatting" with AI to embedding AI decision-making into CI/CD pipelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per month
