Who will you be working with?

In today’s fast-paced manufacturing world, agility and usability are no longer optional—they’re essential. MES is Wabtec’s answer to the growing need for a modern, intuitive, and flexible Manufacturing Execution System that empowers operators, reduces training time, and improves quality across the board. It was designed to enable rapid onboarding, minimal training, and maximum clarity for new operators, ensuring continuity even during workforce disruptions.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the MES team, you will play a key role in the implementation of the Manufacturing Engineering System. You will work closely with our IT, Quality and Manufacturing Managers to identify training needs, problem solving and anything related to MES implementation


What do we want to know about you?

  • Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Administration, Technologies Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Data analysis, programming in excel and access.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Desirable knowledge in Green Belt Six Sigma / Power BI / ERP.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer service skills.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Audit WIP. Conduct weekly audits in each floor area to verify that each serial number is physically present in the operation shown in the system. This process is similar to finance audits of the warehouse and storage area.
  • Ensure there is no negative inventory of Make-type items.
  • Coordinate changes with the materials, quality, manufacturing, and production teams through weekly meetings. Every change to routes, BOMs, quality questions, and ITs must be coordinated to avoid failures that affect production, prevent the release and/or closure of work orders, or generate discrepancies in material consumption.
  • Document and update visual aids, training materials, and procedures related to MES.
  • Parameterize items in MES.
  • Close orders. Clear backlogged work orders in Oracle and MES to prevent them from accumulating and affecting SOV if they are items that generate variance.
  • Creation of dashboards and reports for visualization of metrics (TOP, SDL, NCMRs, WIP).
