In this position...

As a member of our Body Interior Engineering team, you will be at the forefront of designing the cabin of the future, focusing on comfort, safety, craftsmanship, and innovation.

As an Automotive Seating Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vehicle cabin experience. You will own the design, development, integration, and release of complete seating systems, directly impacting customer comfort, safety, and craftsmanship. In this collaborative role, you will partner with cross-functional teams and global suppliers to bring innovative seating solutions from initial concept to physical production, ensuring our vehicles deliver world-class quality on time. .

You'll have...

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience: Typically 3+ years of experience in automotive product development, engineering, or a related manufacturing field.
  

• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong working relationships across diverse teams and supplier networks.

• Travel: Willingness and ability to travel to assembly plants, testing facilities, and supplier sites to support key program milestones.
  

  Even better, you may have...
  

• Prior experience specifically with automotive seating systems or interior components.
• Proven understanding of the automotive product development lifecycle, including hands-on vehicle launch experience.
Experience identifying and resolving complex system-level issues using data-driven methodologies (e.g., 8D, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA).

What you'll do...

• Manage End-to-End Product Development: Lead the design, development, and release of seating systems and components from early concept phases through final vehicle production.
  

• Oversee Supplier Delivery: Manage supplier engineering activities, timelines, deliverables, and cost targets to secure high-quality sourcing and components.

• Manage Financial and Technical Targets: Track and optimize system-level cost, weight, and craftsmanship metrics to deliver within program financial and technical targets.
  

• Provide On-Site Launch Support: Travel to manufacturing and assembly plants to support physical build phases, ensuring successful vehicle launch and production readiness.
