Position Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Bilingual High School Counselor to provide vital socio-emotional support to our high school students. In this role, you will deliver direct and bilingual counseling, assess student needs, and collaborate with a diverse team to foster a positive and supportive learning environment within our multicultural context. You will play a key role in promoting the well-being and holistic development of our students.

Responsibilities

- Provide direct and bilingual (English/Spanish) psychological and socio-emotional support to high school students through individual and group counseling.

- Conduct assessments of the psychological and socio-emotional needs of adolescents, identifying areas for growth and designing personalized intervention strategies.

- Guide students in their vocational and academic orientation, helping them explore their interests, abilities, and future goals.

- Facilitate workshops and group sessions designed to strengthen key socio-emotional skills.

- Collaborate closely with teachers, external specialists, parents, and administrative staff to create a positive, safe, and supportive learning environment for all students.

- Act as a cultural bridge, promoting intercultural awareness, respect, and interpersonal conflict resolution within our diverse community.

Implement prevention and intervention strategies in crisis situations following established protocols.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Psychology (specialization in educational psychology or counseling is valued; title and professional license required).

Desirable Master's degree in clinical or educational psychology.

- Fluent and demonstrable proficiency in both spoken and written English and Spanish.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a counseling psychologist in an a high school educational setting.

- Experience working with adolescents from diverse cultural backgrounds.

- Desirable experience with psychological tests and relevant assessment tools, as well as proficiency in computer skills and online communication platforms.
