The Distributed Brands (DB) Division is a Business Unit composed of 14 brands distributed by Chanel subsidiary in the Mexican market:
Fragance & Beauty Brands: Hermes, Bvlgari, Dyptique, Shiseido, NARS, Issey Miyake, Tous, Halloween, El Ganso, Scalpers, Narciso Rodríguez, Tory Burch & Tumi.
Other Brands: Orlebar Brown & Chanel Exclusive Wines
The DB Director is responsible for business result of all the distributed brands, including P&L, leading and driving operational performance. He/She leads external relations with Brand Executives and is responsible for tactical execution of established contract terms. The DB Director will lead and manage a team of Brand, PR, Visual Merchandising and Digital Managers to guarantee the execution of marketing plans of each distributed brand and will co-define with Comercial Direction sales goals with and will oversight sales force as necessary to support business growth and customer retention.
The DB Director is a member of the Mexican Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing
  • Responsible for developing and implementing operational marketing strategies for multiple brands, aligned with the company’s business and brand objectives.
  • Work in close collaboration with the retail and commercial teams to adapt global initiatives to the regional and local context by defining clear common goals to ensure optimum results.
  • Coordinate and oversee the execution of marketing campaigns across various markets and segments, ensuring alignment with each brand’s guidelines.
  • Communicate on a regular basis changes to the marketing plans with the sales and retail teams to adjust different trade activities.
  • Ensure operational flow efficacy & accurate forecasting for all campaign quantities, as well as oversea forecasts for key launches at local level in collaboration with the commercial and supply teams.
  • Measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns to adjust future activities to support the business.
Comercial
  • Responsible for the profitability and development of the DB, she/he offers solutions to improve returns and commercial performance. To achieve this, she/he considers the needs of the market and works to increase the number of customers.
  • Co-responsible to define sales goals, to properly manage and monitor the deployment of business strategies.
  • Co-oversight sales force as necessary to support business growth and customer retention.
  • Negotiate with retailer’s sales superficies to enhance distribution.
  • Build & develop network of retailers for the Chanel Exclusive Wines
  • Build & develop network of Hotels for Orlebar Brown distribution.
  • Specific focus on generating profitable new business, maximizing value pricing.
  • Development of sales and marketing plan to drive new business to meet business unit goals.
Budget and Resource Management
  • Efficiently manage the budget, allocating resources based on each brand’s specific needs.
  • Manage travel and expense budgets for the business unit
  • Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies in real-time to optimize return on investment.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities for each brand.
Team Management and Cross-Departmental Collaboration
  • Lead and motivate a team (8 direct reports) of marketing, PR, Trainings and Visual Merchandising professionals, ensuring the achievement of set objectives.
  • Set the priorities of the team (collectively and individually), evaluate the performance of direct reports, and support their personal career development, manage the overall budget of the marketing department (activity and departmental costs, etc.)
  • Collaborate closely with sales, digital, product, and communication teams to ensure seamless integration of campaigns and promotional activities.
Performance Measurement, Reporting and Administrative Tasks.
  • Set KPIs for each brand and rigorously track performance.
  • Prepare performance reports and impact analysis, providing insights to enhance future marketing strategies.}
  • Proceed to the presentation of accounting documents from your unit to management.
  • Identify ways of improvement
  • Avoid commercial risks by analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the structure.
  • Produce reports regularly focusing on the results of each strategy.
What you will bring to the role?
  • Experience across different retail channels and online retailers, ideally in the F&B or luxury industry, where excellent customer experience was paramount with at least 5 years in a multibrand leadership role.
