Supply Chain and Procurement Manager Netherlands
Location: Nationwide- Hybrid
About the Role
This is a critical role in our business, to enable IWG to meet its strategic objectives of sustainably growing our network and improving our profit margin. This position supports the country in the procurement of all categories across our fit out and centre spend teams. In addition, you will be responsible for successfully managing the local supply chain. You are also the link between global procurement strategies and local country implementation.
Reporting to your Country Manager, you will have a dotted line into both the Global Fit Out and Global Centre Spend teams, meaning the successful applicant will need to have excellent stakeholder management, and prioritisation skills.
Key Objectives:
- Supply Chain Optimization:
- Streamline and implement supply chain processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead the vendor selection process, including the execution of RFPs, RFQs, and other sourcing activities.
- Work with the group supply chain team to implement advanced technologies for better supply chain data, visibility and management.
- Ensure costs are recovered through various avenues, such as centre recharges, vendor rebates, or other creative cost recovery methods.
- Procurement Excellence:
- Execute globally approved procurement strategies, recommending local adaptations where required that ensure cost-effective purchasing for fit out and centre spend.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms, enhancing quality and reliability, and driving innovation in supply chain processes and vendor partnerships.
- Track and report on planned and validated achieved savings against targets.
- Inventory Management:
- Optimize inventory to reduce excess inventory and minimise stockouts.
- Work with the warehousing teams to ensure we only purchase stock when required.
- Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain.
- Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Provide recommendations to improve the global supply chain model and processes, to support the country business performance with partners and customers.
- Work closely with the global and local stakeholders to align supply chain activities with business needs.
- Enhance communication across departments to ensure seamless operations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Supply Chain Optimization:
- Reduction in supply chain costs (percentage).
- Improvement in order fulfilment times (measured in days).
- Coverage of supply chain demand (gaps in supply chain models)
- Conduct regular vendor performance measurements and management (measured in frequency and vendor KPI achievement).
- Procurement Excellence:
- Cost savings achieved through strategic sourcing (measured in £).
- Supplier performance ratings (quality, delivery, and cost).
- Inventory Management:
- Inventory turnover ratio.
- Reduction in inventory holding costs (percentage).
- Number of orders.
- Risk Management:
- Number of supply chain disruptions and their impact (number of events and £ impact)
- Time to recover from supply chain disruptions (measured in hours/days).
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Frequency and effectiveness of meetings with the Facilities Director.
- Number of cross-departmental initiatives successfully implemented.
Applicant profile:
- Experience in category management, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field. Experience with construction or hard services is a requirement. Must be able to demonstrate experience in overseeing strategic decision-making processes.
- Market Awareness: Understands local market trends, pricing and supply/demand dynamics. Demonstrate a track record of leveraging local knowledge to deliver value.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Developing and implementing effective strategies. Has a proven track record of creating strategies that drive cost savings, efficiency, and added value through innovative product and service delivery.
- Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of commercial strategies to negotiate contracts, generate business value. Experience with customer payments, centre recharges, rebates, and other innovative cost recovery methods to ensure profitability.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivating robust relationships with key suppliers and fostering innovation in supply chain processes and vendor partnerships.
- Procurement and Contract Negotiation: Demonstrated experience in procurement processes, including executing RFPs, RFQs, and other sourcing activities (with examples from relevant country). The ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure optimal terms and conditions.
- Local knowledge: Can demonstrate deep understanding of the local supply chain and has experience working with relevant local/country vendors. Further validated with fluency in local languages.
- Vendor Performance Management: Proven experience in vendor performance measurement and management. Should understand how to drive continual improvement and innovation in supplier performance while enhancing client satisfaction.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborating with various stakeholders with a proven track record of delivering across cross functional teams.
- Risk Management: Demonstrate experience managing risks within a relevant field.
