Support Engineer – Mexico

The Role: Support Engineer (Mexico-Based)

As a Support Engineer at Athena Systems, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our global clients are successful using our Athena Spark platform. This is a hands-on, client-facing technical role focused on troubleshooting issues, analyzing data, and providing high-quality support.

You'll collaborate with implementation, development, and QA teams — and will gain deep exposure to investment operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Support: Respond to inbound support requests from global users, ensuring timely and professional resolution.
  • Issue Logging & Tracking: Log all issues in our feature handling system, document steps taken, and follow through to closure.
  • Data Analysis: Use SQL to query client data, investigate problems, and validate solutions.
  • Product QA: Participate in testing new features and fixes as part of our QA process.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and product teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
  • Feedback Loop: Communicate client insights and pain points to the broader team to help drive product improvement.

Requirements

  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency with SQL and comfort working with databases.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong troubleshooting instincts.
  • Able to manage time independently and prioritize across multiple issues.
  • Bonus if you have basic familiarity with: C#, .NET, HTML, or JavaScript.
  • Bonus if you have some understanding of finance, trading, or accounting workflows (not required).
