Join Our Team as a Safety, Hygiene, and Civil Protection Specialist

We are looking for a Safety, Hygiene, and Civil Protection Specialist to join an important project in Mexico City and Cuautitlán.

Work Location:

• 2 days at the office: Noche Buena, Mexico City.
• 3 days at the Distribution Center: San Mateo Ixtacalco.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 08:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Friday: 08:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Work Mode: On-site (candidate must have their own transportation between locations).

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Oversee safety and civil protection compliance in accordance with STPS regulations.
• Work with both Mexico City and State of Mexico regulations, or be willing to familiarize with the other if needed.
• Act as a liaison between all site departments, including HR and area management.
• Collaborate with international partners, ensuring compliance with global safety standards.
• Lead and respond to inspections by external agencies.
• Manage Mexico’s worker’s compensation process (ST IMSS forms).
• Develop and conduct safety training sessions for large and small groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Extensive knowledge of occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations.
• Experience working in warehouse, distribution, laboratory, and office environments.
• Ability to work independently with remote supervision.
• Strong ethical standards and leadership in safety compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with American companies and global partners.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations (SEMARNAT) and regulated waste management.
• Experience in fieldwork safety.
