Job Summary:

Are you a data-driven strategist with a passion for optimizing sales and inventory? Join our team as a Demand Planner, where you will have the opportunity to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure product availability across global ecommerce platforms like Amazon and eBay.

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated, detail-oriented individual to contribute to our growth. In this role, you'll be responsible for analyzing sales trends, creating accurate demand forecasts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize inventory and meet sales goals. Experience with tools like ForecastPro and Amazon Seller Central is a plus!

Essential Functions:

  • Analyzing sales data to identify trends, seasonal patterns, and product performance across global markets.
  • Developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts using advanced methods like moving averages and exponential smoothing.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to align forecasts with business goals and market trends.
  • Adjusting forecasts for external factors such as promotions, discounts, and seasonal spikes (e.g., holidays).
  • Calculating reorder points and optimizing inventory levels to prevent stockouts or overstock.
  • Monitoring forecast accuracy using metrics like MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) and implementing improvements.
  • Utilizing tools like Amazon Seller Central to refine forecasts and improve inventory management.
  • Providing strategic advice on market trends, inventory strategies, and product availability.

This role also requires exceptional analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lead and inspire others to achieve a common goal. We are looking for a Demand Planner with:

  • Expertise in demand forecasting and inventory management tools (e.g., ForecastPro, Python, Excel).
  • Familiarity with ecommerce platforms like Amazon Seller Central, Walmart, and eBay.
  • At least 5 years of experience in demand planning, preferably in multi-channel or ecommerce environments.
  • Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions with limited guidance.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • A passion for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Discerning judgment, willing to stand up for the best use of the company's time and resources.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to get along with diverse personalities.
  • Energetic, results-driven, and more of a finisher than a starter.
  • Ability to contribute strategically in virtual team meetings and monthly all-hands sessions.

Success Metrics:

  • Successful cross-collaboration with team members to meet annual goals, promoting a culture of empowerment and collaboration.
  • Completion of demand forecasts that drive revenue opportunities, with an emphasis on accuracy and innovation.
  • Maintaining high levels of client satisfaction by ensuring product availability and meeting sales targets.
  • Effortless collaboration with all CML team members, acting with integrity and fostering a solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-moving entrepreneurial clients, with a focus on flexible hours, rapid problem-solving, and continuous learning, all within a framework of high ethics and responsibility.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years in demand planning, inventory management, or related fields, preferably in ecommerce or multi-channel environments.
  • Skills: Exceptional analytical and forecasting skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with forecasting tools (e.g., ForecastPro, Python), data analysis software, and ecommerce platforms like Amazon Seller Central.
  • Language: C1 English speaker with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Time: Availability to work during U.S. time zones.
