Job Title: Trust Book Accountant (Remote)

We are a growing company in the property management sector, and we're looking for an experienced Trust Book Accountant to join our team remotely. Position Summary: We are seeking a Trust Book Accountant to manage the financial recordkeeping and reporting for our trust accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, a solid understanding of property management accounting practices, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile trust accounts and financial transactions
- Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with company policies and best practices
- Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Perform detailed account analysis and troubleshooting of discrepancies
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and reporting
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Support audits and regulatory compliance as necessary
- Provide financial guidance on property management-related accounting matters
- Ensure accuracy in financial data entry and reporting
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of accounting experience (recommended)
- QuickBooks Online (QBO) certification preferred
- Strong understanding of property management and corporate accounting best practices
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software tools
