Payroll Specialist

As a Payroll Specialist, your main responsibility will be to provide a full range of payroll and labor benefits services to all employees across the sites in Mexico, as well as to support the Regional Human Resources Management in day-to-day activities, demonstrating a mindset of continuous improvement while maintaining a human touch.

Your key responsibilities
· Prepare and validate salary payments, oversee payroll calculations according to the defined schedule, ensuring the accuracy of exempt and taxable items, overtime, employer contributions, and taxes, while performing periodic controls and monthly interfaces.
· Maintain payroll related data in SAP, aligned with policies, procedures, and HRSC control changes, and prepare internal and external reports.
· Act as the point of contact for employees regarding queries related to payments, compensation, taxes, and benefits.
· Identify improvement opportunities, propose and participate in HR projects, and resolve conflicts and situations.
· Perform monthly follow ups on payroll records, taking any corrective measures as necessary, working closely with the accounting department to ensure payroll calculations are accurate and up to date.
· Maintain active communication with sindicates.

You bring:
· Degree in Administration, Economics, Human Resources, or a related field.
· 3 to 5 years of relevant and similar experience in manufacturing companies or production sites with a headcount of 400+ employees
· Knowledge of weekly, biweekly and monthly payroll administration, Federal Labor Law (exempt and taxable items, overtime, employer contributions, and taxes).
· Experience working with active sindicates/unions (regulations, collective agreement reviews, and committees).
· Advanced Excel skills (macros, pivot tables); SAP and Power BI proficiency is desirable.
· Advanced English proficiency is essential.
· High level of organization, excellent communication skills, and a strong human-centered approach.
· Availability to travel to Toluca at least twice a week.
