About the Role
We are seeking a Reporting Senior Manager to join and become a major contributor to our Mexico City based Reporting Team. A successful candidate in this position will have demonstrable experience with financial reporting and corporate tax compliance related responsibilities.
Our LATAM Reporting Team is responsible for the compliance of all Uber's entities in the LATAM region - both financial reporting and local tax compliance. The team works closely with our Tax, Legal, Accounting, Treasury and Finance Operations teams, as well as external consultants, to ensure that we're compliant across the region.
This role will lead the team and align LATAM practices to our global team and strive for best practice procedures and policies so that we're always doing things better.
What the Candidate Will Do

This role will lead the team and align LATAM practices to our global team and strive for best practice procedures and policies so that we're always doing things better.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Lead a team of up to 10 people and take responsibility for the LATAM region reporting and compliance
- Responsible for the team's global compliance & ensuring adherence to all deadlines.
- Maintain the relationship with PwC (for audit) and KPMG (for compliance) for the whole LATAM region.
- Execute an annual project plan to ensure the team's compliance deliverables are met on time
- Understand our business, operating model and processes in relation to local regulations and requirements.
- Manage the relationship with our Global compliance partner
- Identify process improvements which will increase efficiency
- Responsible for automating processes and improving team efficiency
- Responsible for review of financial statements, income tax returns, and management reporting of all LATAM entities
- Be an active member in global reporting team leadership initiatives and ensure your team contributes to the global team culture.
- 12+ years of experience in financial reporting or local tax compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA/CA/ACCA/equivalent qualification
- Fluent English and Spanish required
- Extensive team management and leadership
- Demonstrable experience in a dynamic corporate environment managing compliance across multiple LATAM countries and people
- Big 4 background strongly preferred
- Corporate Tax experience a strong advantage
- Project Management experience
