JOB SUMMARY
The Manager, B2B/B2C Activations serves as a cross-discipline connector in CALA Commerical Services to ensure that all B2B and B2C activations are leveraged and executed holistically for maximum impact and effectiveness. This role will oversee and coordinate all Commerical Services events, including partnerships, loyalty, sales, Marketing and Public Relations providing ‘airtraffic control’ and basic project management. The Manager, B2B/B2C activations manages the CALA event calendar, navigates a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, creates event timelines, is responsible for follow-up, oversees event budgets and may be tasked to execute some event elements on the ground. The role is based in Mexico City and reports to the VP, Comms, PR and B2B/B2C Activations.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
- 4-year university degree from an accredited university in marketing, event management, or public relations required
- 4+ years of marketing, event and/or related field experience required; travel or hospitality experience a plus
- Strong organizational skills, process oriented, well-organized, and capable of working quickly and simultaneously handling several projects; agility to adjust priorities and ability to balance interests of multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communications skills in English and Spanish.
- Problem-solving abilities.
- Project management expertise with experience in B2B and B2C event coordination.
- Negotiation skills.
- Attention to detail.
Preferred
- Hotel property experience, hotel field marketing experience, or related.
- Prior experience in event planning, marketing services support; media, partnerships and promotions experience.
- Proficiency in project management or event management software.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
- Central point of contact for all CALA Commercial Services activations for airtraffic control
- Manages CALA Commercial Services event calendar
- Collaborates cross-functionally with partnership, loyalty, brand marketing, sales, and PR teams to ensure connectivity on activations
- Connects relevant external and internal stakeholders to leverage all events holistically; holds stakeholders accountable where needed
- High-level involvement in setting event strategy, contract negotiations and event concept ideation
- Develops and manages project management tool for all CALA Commercial Services events to ensure smooth and timely execution
- Oversees all event elements, such as event briefs, budgets, venue selection, invitation process, collateral development, logistics, etc.; may be tasked with executing some elements
- Responsible for event budget management
- Manages event agencies
- Provides guidance for properties on activations
- Develops event tool kits for pull through on properties across CALA
- Post-event analysis, creates event recaps to capture results; schedules event debriefs for learnings and improvement
- Performs other duties as assigned
