Job Description
- Manage global sourcing strategies for assigned categories ensuring alignment with business objectives and global goals.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and commodity trends to identify opportunities for improvement and competitive advantage.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership on strategic sourcing initiatives and opportunities for improvement.
- Think Fast by valuating and managing supplier risks and develop contingency plans to ensure the security of supply.
- Work it Together by collaborating with functional areas like Master Scheduling, Planning, Manufacturing plants, Distribution Centers and External suppliers to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Make the Hard Call by monitoring supplier performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- 2-5 years’ experience
- Ability to develop, lead, and manage supply chain strategy and supply base for one or more categories
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier contracts
- Proven ability to scope and create projects to reduce cost, improve productivity, reduce supplier risk, and increase capacity
- Collaborative approach to communication and problem-solving
