CAD ENGINEER - Model-Based Systems Engineering (CDMX, Hybrid)

YOUR ROLE

Specialized CAD engineer to design and release CAD models and drawings (using CATIA v5 and v6) of parts that provide protection, guiding and fixing of harnesses or electromechanical components.

• Design and release of wire harness components including plastic shields, metal brackets and grommets to meet routing and retention requirements.
• Design and modification of 3D models in CATIA
• Design 2D engineering and manufacturing drawings per EDS guidelines
• Cost and quality tracking
• Suppliers management for product/process qualification (PPAP agreement)
• Design for manufacturing following DFMEA, boundary diagram, clash avoidance and design rules
• Generate part numbers, create RFQs
• Manage tooling manufacturing with suppliers to meet requirements

YOUR PROFILE

• Good conversational English (B2, C1, C2)
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics engineering or equivalent
• 3-6 years of relevant experience
• Experience in 3D and 2D design with CATIA v5 and 6
• Experience in communicating with technical stakeholders to collect and clarify requirements
• Experience with PPAP managing suppliers for automotive products delivery
• Experience with DFMEA
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Experience in plastic and metal parts design
• Experience with PLM SW such as Teamcenter
• Experience with wire harness parts
• Experience with automotive 3D and 2D design guidelines
