About the team:

ZF is a global automotive company supplying advanced mobility products and systems for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and industrial technology.

ZF is looking for a Program Buyer for our Monterrey location to support the Braking Business Unit. This position will be working with cross functional global teams, with strong leadership serving as the functional expert for all purchasing activities related to a defined program.

What can you look forward as a Senior Program Buyer:

• Work with cross functional teams to develop and manage costed BOMs for new programs introduction, from quoting to customer through program development.
• Assures component sourcing is executed on time and within financial business targets.
• Develop and supports cost saving ideas in order to promote overall business unit productivity and supplier competitiveness for defined programs (i.e. VAVE and engineering changes ideas)
• Manage supply base in regards to: internal and intra-company initiatives, capacity, cost, quality, and delivery. Serve as escalation point of contact for supplier issues, crisis management, supplier and operations support.
• Preparation and support to Commodity purchasing for contract and sourcing negotiations.
• Update tracking tools according to industry best practices and ZF company policy.
• Track costs and statuses of negotiations, while and maintaining agreements with suppliers
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Understand and ensure compliance with all group directives.

Your profile as a Senior Program Buyer:

• Bachelor´s degree in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering or related areas.
• Proficient Microsoft Office user (i.e., Excel, Power Point).
• Fluent verbal and written English. German is a plus.
• 3+ years of advanced experience in a professional purchasing capacity (i.e., technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.)
• Demonstrated performance in working cross-functionally within an international matrixed organization and working independently to obtain results.
• Deep knowledge of purchasing tools, negotiation methods, and business communications
• Solid organizational and time/project management skills
• Experience with MRP systems (SAP, QAD, etc.)
