Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer with 6+ YOF to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS and a strong understanding of DevOps practices. Proficiency in Python is essential, and experience with Power BI will be considered an asset. The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure, automating processes, and ensuring system reliability and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Infrastructure:
Design, deploy, and manage scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation.
Implement best practices for security, performance, and cost management in the cloud environment.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Automation and Tooling:
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python for provisioning and managing AWS resources.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment processes.
Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to manage infrastructure.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with development, operations, and product teams to identify and meet infrastructure requirements.
Support and collaborate with development teams to optimize the deployment and release of applications.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
Monitoring and Incident Management:
Set up and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system health and quick incident response.
Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed.
Conduct post-incident reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Data Analysis and Reporting (Cloud Costs):
Utilize Power BI to create interactive visual reports and dashboards if required.
Analyze data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support business decisions.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
Extensive experience with AWS and proficiency in AWS services and architecture.
Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure as code.
Proficiency in Python programming.
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef, or Puppet).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
