Our client Northwood Capital is a boutique commercial real estate investment firm based in Boston, MA. Since 2021, Northwood Capital has been dedicated to developing, owning and managing industrial, warehouse, residential, multifamily and retail real estate across the United States. Currently, Northwood Capital is seeking a Market Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Market Analyst will conduct comprehensive market research to identify and evaluate properties that fit established acquisition criteria. The Market Analyst will have a background in data mining and interpretation, and working knowledge of the commercial real estate market. The ideal candidate will exemplify our core values:

This position is full-time and fully remote, and will support a team based in the United States. Standard working hours are flexible but will require availability during business hours Eastern Standard Time (EST), 9am to 5pm.

Main responsibilities include:

• Market research and data mining from various sources, including publicly-available websites and reports, market surveys, demographic data tools, and other resources to assess suitable acquisitions opportunities.
• Ensure the validity and accuracy of market research and data points.
• Cold calling outbound leads that meet acquisition criteria.
• Perform Quick Check deal analysis on outbound leads to validate potential acquisition opportunities.
• Support the Acquisitions Team with preparation of reports and presentations to make recommendations on investment opportunities to Leadership.
• Provide market insights to the Acquisitions Team and collaborate on the development of acquisition strategies.
• Support the due diligence process by providing market data to support property valuations and investment decisions.
• All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working knowledge of commercial real estate market.
• Previous experience with market analysis in commercial real estate an asset.
• Previous experience with data analysis tools (ie., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
• Previous experience cold calling outbound leads a plus.
